Royals outslug Brewers 8-7.

Kansas City tags Milwaukee starter Jeff Juden with 6 runs in the 1st 2 innings and then fends off rally attempts. Jose Offerman starts a big night, with a triple after Johnny Damon leads off the bottom of the 1st with a walk. The Royals tag on 3 more runs with a pair of run-scoring outs and an RBI single by Jermaine Dye.

The Brewers answer back with 2 runs off Pat Rapp in the top of the 2nd, but Offerman does more damage. Offerman starts a 2-out rally with a single and later Jeff King delivers a 2-run single.Offerman adds a solo HR in the 6th giving Kansas City an 8-5 lead.

Milwaukee has a last chance in the 9th with runners on 1st and 2nd when King plays a groundball by Jose Valentin and bobbles it after. Pinch runner Darrin Jackson had rounded 3rd and lazily walked into the final out at home.
