Giants rally, beat the Diamondbacks 8-7 to clinch.

San Francisco battles back from 2-run deficits twice and then score 2 in the bottom of the 8th before holding off a 9th inning rally, to beat Arizona and capture the NL West title. Russ Davis breaks a 6-6 tie with a Sac Fly off Mike Morgan and then Felipe Crespo dives into first to beat a throw and allow Ellis Burks to score an insurance run.

Rob Nen allows a rare run in the 9th before finally closing the door and sparking the celebration.

The Diamondbacks, defending division champs, erased a 2-0 deficit and twice took 2-run leads, the second time, when Damian Miller tags Kirk Rueter for a 2-run double in the 6th. However, the Giants answer in the bottom of the inning with RBI singles by Burks and Doug Mirabelli.
