Giants score big, beat the Braves 12-8.

San Francisco jumps on Tom Glavine and then the Atlanta bullpen to avoid a 4-game sweep. Rich Aurelia does the big damage, going 4-of-5 with 3 runs and 4 RBIs, highlighted by a pair of HRs.

After the teams traded pair of runs in the 1st, Aurelia breaks the tie by leading off the 3rd with a homer. Aurelia adds an RBI single as part of a 4-run 4th that opens a 7-2 lead for the Giants. Aurelia's 2-run HR in the 6th pushes the lead to 9-2.

The Braves chase Danny Darwin by scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th, and then draw within 9-8 on Michael Tucker's 2-run in the 8th. However, walks open the door for 3 insurance runs by the Giants in the 9th.
