Games Notes

Rangers rally for an 8-7 walkoff win over the Mariners.

Rougned Odor atones for an earlier base-running mistake by connecting for a 2-run HR off Edwin Diaz to win it for Texas. The Rangers had let a 4-0 lead slip away as Cole Hamels turns in a poor performance, with Seattle taking a 6-4 lead with a 4-run 5th.

The Rangers come back with 2 runs in the 7th to tie it, but Odor is easily thrown out after recklessly trying to stretch out a double, preventing Texas from possibly having a bigger inning. Odor and Adrian Beltre are a combined 6-of-10 with 5 runs, 5 RBI, 2 HRs. However, after tying the game, the Rangers give up a go-ahead Sac Fly to Robinson Cano in the 8th.
