Mariners nip the Tigers 7-5.

Seattle wins its on Rey Quinones' 2-out HR off Willie Hernandez in the top of the 9th after Jeff Robinson had walked Jim Presley to start the inning. The Mariners take advantage of 5 innings of 2-hit scoreless relief after Detroit tagged Mike Moore for 5 runs in 4 innings.

Seattle broke a 2-2 tie on Mike Kingery's 2-run HR off Jack Morris in the top of the 4th. However, the Tigers answer back with 3 runs in the bottom of the inning. Detroit comes up empty in the bottom of the 5th after the Mariners had tied the game 5-5, when the Tigers have the bases loaded twice but fail to produce a run.
