Slumping Giants scrap together enough offense to beat the Nationals 5-3.

San Francisco, in the midst of a stretch finding to find base hits with runners in scoring position, manages to stage a rally and top Washington in a battle of divisional leaders. The Giants collect the go-ahead run on a Sac Fly by Joe Panik in the 7th and then adds an insurance run Blake Treinen walks Trevor Brown with the bases loaded.

The Nationals had jumped in front with 3 early runs off Jake Peavy. But after a strong start Reynaldo Lopez hits the wall in the bottom of the 4th as Eduardo Nunez doubles home a pair of runs and Angel Pagan pushes the tying run across with a groundout.
