Almedys Diaz singles homes the game winner with 1 out in the 9th to give St. Louis a 3-game sweep of San Diego. The Cardinals had erased a 5-1 deficit in the bottom of the 8th.

Andrew Cashner had quieted St. Louis for 5 1/3 innings, with the bullpen successfully backstopping him. Until the 8th when Jedd Gyorko singles home a run, before Stephen Piscotty delivers a 3-run pinch-hit HR to tie it.
