Games Notes

Jamie Moyer wins one for the ages as the Rockies down the Padres 5-3.

Moyer becomes the oldest pitcher to record a win in MLB history, going 7 innings, allowing 6 hits and 2 unearned runs, at the age of 49 years and 150 days. He surpassed the old standard set by Jack Quinn at the age of 49 years and 70 days for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1932. It was also Moyer's 278th career win, tying him with Jim Palmer.

Moyer got early support as Dexter Fowler delivers a 2-run HR off Anthony Bass in the 2nd. Wilin Rosario doubles home another run in the 3rd.
