Rangers stop the bleeding with a 3-2 win to avoid a sweep by the Mariners.

Texas gets 2 big blasts from Mike Napoli and Geovany Soto and a strong effort from Ryan Dempster to slow the Rangers' late season slide. Napoli delivers a solo HR in the 4th off Jason Vargas, and then Soto adds a 2-run shot later in the inning to give Texas a 3-0 lead.

Dempster goes 6 2/3 innings, striking out 8 before allowing a pair of solo HRs in the 7th.
