Games Notes

Rangers beat the Orioles 10-3 on Josh Hamilton's record night.

Hamilton becomes the 16th player with 4 HRs in a game, the first by a Texas player, and sets the AL record with 18 total bases as he goes 5-of-5 with 4 2-run HRs and a double. Hamilton drives his 1st pitch from Jake Arrieta over the centerfield fence for his 1st HR, and then follows with another to left, before adding a double in his final at-bat against Arrieta.

Hamilton then takes Zach Phillips and Darren O'Day deep for his 3rd and 4th shots. Each time Elvis Andrus scores on his HR. Hamilton also had a 2-run HR in his final at-bat a night earlier, giving him 5 2-run shots in 6 at-bats.
