Games Notes

A stellar debut by Nick Tepesch leads the Rangers to a 6-1 win over the Rays.

The right-hander makes his big league debut, allowing 4 hits and 1 run over 7 1/3 innings for Texas. Tepesch gives up a 3rd inning run on a groundout. But the Rangers answer with a 2-run single by Lance Berkman in the bottom of the inning.

Elvis Andrus singles home a run and scores on a groundout in the 5th to pad the lead. Berkman goes 3-of-4 while Leonys Martin has a pair of hits and 3 runs scored.
