Boone steals the show with 3 HRs on the day Chicago honors Sammy Sosa for his historic season. After the Cubs struck first after a long rain delay, Boone leads off the 4th with a HR off Kevin Tapani to tie the game. Damian Jackson adds a Sacrifice Fly.

An inning later, Boone clubs a 3-run blast off Tapani. He later adds a 2-run HR in the 8th for a 7-2 lead, though replays show it didn't hook around the flag pole in left and should have been a foul ball.

Pete Harnisch scatters 7 hits and an unearned run over 6 innings for Cincinnati.
