Seattle tops fellow Wildcard chaser Boston with the aid of 3 long balls. Nelson Cruz gives the Mariners an early lead with a solo shot in the 2nd.

Mike Zunino adds a solo HR off Rick Porcello in the 6th, and Adam Lind delivers another in the 7th. Porcello allows just 4 hits in a complete game. But Hishashi Iwakuma does even better, going 7 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing 5 hits.
