Mookie Betts has a pair of HRs and 5 RBIs, helping Boston take the opener against Baltimore, dropping the Orioles out of 1st place and into a tie with the Red Sox, 1 game behind Toronto. Betts' 3-run blast off Yovani Gallardo in the 5th breaks up a scoreless tie.

Boston had no-hit the Orioles into the 7th before Baltimore strikes for 3 runs to tie it. However, Betts regains the lead for the Red Sox when he drives a 2-run HR off Brad Brach.
