Tigers break out in a big way, beating the Indians 12-2.

Nick Castellanos drives in 5 runs as Detroit beats up on Josh Tomlin, and defeat Cleveland for the 1st time after dropping the 1st 11 meetings of the season. Down 2-0, the Tigers take the lead in the 4th on a 2-run HR by Cameron Maybin and a Sac Fly.

Castellanos breaks the game open with a 3-run HR in the 5th and later he adds a 2-run double in the 7th. Rookie Michael Fulmer goes 6 innings, allowing 5 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned for his 9th victory.
