Gibson goes 8 innings, allowing just 2 hits and 1 run for Minnesota. Boston gets a lead off HR by Mookie Betts, but after Xander Bogaerts' infield single with 1 out in the 1st, Gibson doesn't allow another hit. The Red Sox get a pair of hits and a walk in the 9th before Brandon Kintzler is able to pitch out of a bases-loaded, no outs situation to preserve the win.

Brian Dozier answers Betts' shot, with a homer to lead off the 2nd inning. Minnesota takes the lead on Miguel Sano's RBI double in the 6th.
