A switch back to man-to-man defense sparks a 2nd half surge by Michigan State. Princeton's patient spread offense frustrates the Spartans, allowing the Tigers to open a 7-point lead in the 1st half before Michigan State rallies to tie it 31-31 at halftime.

Down by 7 again in the 2nd half, the Spartans switch to man to man, and eventually take the lead 43-42 with an 8-point run capped by Derek Perry's layup with 10:02 left. Michigan State then outscores Princeton 17-4 to the finish. Jay Vincent leads the Spartans with 23 points.
