Mark Aquirre leads a dominating performance by DePaul, scoring 23 points and adding 9 rebounds helping the Blue Demons take an 18-point lead in the 1st half and maintaining the comfortable lead throughout much of the 2nd half. Terry Cummings adds 19 as DePaul's frontline is too much for UCLA, reserve Bernard Randolph contributes 14 points.

Rod Foster leads the Bruins with 19, but UCLA is left chasing as the Blue Demons' power wins on the offensive end, and Clyde Bradshaw disrupts on the defensive end.
