#12 Bruins sink the #9 Irish in the end, 51-50.

Rod Foster hits a pair of free throws w/ :05 left to give UCLA a 51-48 lead, as the Bruins overcome a 2nd half rally by Notre Dame. UCLA had jumped out to a 26-16 lead while playing its up-tempo style. The Irish had gone ahead 43-42 with a 7-point run, highlighed by 4 straight points by Orlando Woolridge. The teams then trade baskets until the final minutes when UCLA finds the loose balls and rebounds.

Woolridge scores 13 points for Notre Dame, which is led by Kelly Tripucka's 18 points. Mike Sanders leads UCLA with 16 points, followed by Darren Daye's 12 points.
