Smart hits a shot in the lane to cut Syracuse's lead to 73-72 w/ just over 30 seconds to play, and then hits a 15-footer from the baseline to win it w/ :03 left. Smart scores 12 of Indiana's final 15 points as the Orangemen key on Steve Alford, who scores 23 for Indiana.

Syracuse had opened a 61-56 lead w/ 7:22 left, but was unable to hold on despite 19 rebounds from Derrick Coleman and 20 points from Sherman Douglas.
