Duke dominates the 1st half, doubling up Iowa and taking a 48-24 lead. However, the Blue Devils go into a lull, and a 14-0 run by the Hawkeyes cuts the lead to 57-51 before they responded with 10 straight points to regain control.

Brian Davis leads the way with 21 points and 10 rebounds and Christian Laettner adds 19 points and 8 rebounds. Acie Earl leads Iowa with 19 points, 12 rebounds and 8 blocked shots.
