Huskies upset the Cougars 78-73 in OT.

Washington State enters with a 12-1 record, but an 11-day lay off results in a slow start, and Washington finishes the job with a strong finish in OT. The Huskies pull away in OT, led by Rich Manning, who finishes with 33 points, and leads the early surge in OT to grab the lead for good at 71-69 with a jumper with 2:06 left.

Manning missed a shot in the closing minute of regulation that could have sealed the win, but the Cougars were able to overcome a 65-59 deficit in the final 23 seconds to force overtime. Terrence Lewis led Washington State with 30 points and 10 rebounds, and hit 2 free throws w/ :11 to tie the game in regulation.
