UCLA has the answers for Alabama's big plays to pull off the upset. After watching starting QB Cory Paus knocked out with an injury and Freddie Milons return a punt 71 yards for a TD in the game's first 6 plays, the Bruins respond with 21 straight points highlighted by a pair of TD runs by DeShaun Foster and a 31-yard TD pass from wideout Freddie Mitchell to Brian Poli-Dixon.

The Tide storms back and takes a 24-21 lead on Reggie Myles' 91-yard INT return for a score in the 3rd quarter. However, UCLA comes back on the next possession, scoring on Ryan McCann's 46-yard TD pass to Mitchell, and a Foster later adds an 8-yard TD run late in the 3rd quarter. Foster finishes 187 yards on 42 carries.
