#8 Cornhuskers crush the #19 Wildcats 66-17.

Dan Alexander rushes for an Alamo Bowl-record 240 yards as Nebraska bruises Northwestern with its strength on both sides of the ball. The Cornhuskers fall behind 10-7 early, but bounce back to take a 38-17 lead and the half.

Nebraska goes ahead for good on Eric Crouch's 50-yard TD run in the 2nd quarter. Alexander and Correll Buckhalter follow with 2-yard TD runs to open a 28-10 lead. After Damian Anderson responds with a 69-yard TD run, en route to a 149-yard performance, the Cornhuskers answer with a 58-yard TD pass from Crouch to Bobby Newcombe just before halftime.
