Arizona State sprints in front 21-0 as UCLA sees its start DeShaun Foster lost early to a broken hand. However, his replacements step up as Jermaine Lewis rushes for 104 yards, including a 54-yard TD, and Akil Harris adds 100 yards and 2 TDs.

The TDs by Lewis and Harris draw UCLA even 21-21 in the 3rd quarter before Cory Paus hits Freddie Mitchell with an 8-yard TD pass for the lead. One play later, Griffin Goodman, who steps in when Ryan Kealy is lost to a knee injury in the 3rd quarter, hits Richard Williams for a 60-yard TD pass to tie it 28-28. The Bruins answer back with an 80-yard TD pass from Paus to Mitchell.
