A year after the Buffaloes 24-point 4th quarter comeback is wasted in an OT loss, they gamble with a 2-point try and take a 32-31 lead with 47 seconds to play. But the Cornhuskers drive for a 29-yard FG by Josh Brown on the final play.

Heavy underdog Colorado awakens in the 2nd half, and take a lead when Craig Ochs hits John Minardi for a 15-yard TD and then finds Javon Green for a 2-point conversion. Ochs throws for 254 yards while Cortlen Johnson rushes for 155 yards and 3 TDs.

Eric Crouch runs for 125 yards and throws for 139.
