Joey Harrington throws for 273 yards and 2 TDs, and runs for a TD and catches another to lead Oregon to its 1st 10 win season in school history. The Ducks make 2 late defensive stops of Texas in Oregon territory in the closing minutes to preserve the win.

Harrington tosses his 1st TD and then is on the receiving end of an 18-yard TD pass from Keenan Howry to open a 14-0 lead for the Ducks. Harrington's 9-yard TD run in the 4th quarter gives Oregon a 28-21 lead, but Texas responds with a 93-yard KO return for a TD by Victor Ike. The Ducks regain the lead on the ensuing possession when Jason Willis scores on a 4-yard end-around.
