Washington takes advantage of early Miami mistakes to jump in front 21-3 and then holds off the Hurricanes' 2nd half rally. Marques Tuiasosopo throws for 223 yards and 1 TD and runs for another as the Huskies take an 18-point lead by halftime.

Ken Dorsey begins rallying Miami in the 2nd half, along with Clinton Portis, who totals 150 yards combined rushing and receiving. James Jackson's 2nd TD pulls the Canes within 34-29 with 2:52 to play, but a failed onside kick attempt dooms Miami's rally.
