Ole Miss erases an early 16-0 deficit as Deuce McAllister turns in a big night to rally the Rebels for their 1st Egg Bowl win in 3 years. McAllister rushes for 121 yards and 3 TDs, and adds a 20-yard TD pass to Romaro Miller.

Miller hits Grant Heard for a pair of TD passes in the 2nd quarter, sandwiching a 1-yard TD run by McAllister to take a 21-16 halftime lead. McAllister extends the lead to 28-16, accounting for all 100 yards to start the second half, as he follows a 28-yard kickoff return with a 72-yard TD sprint. After Mississippi State rallies to take a 30-28 lead, McAllister hits Miller for a TD on a halfback pass. A fumbled punt snap and fumbled punt inside the 10 allow the Rebels to put away the Bulldogs.
