#10 Irish are too much for Trojans in 38-21 win.

Notre Dame fights off a game effort by Southern Cal in Paul Hackett's finale, but the Irish are able to control with their running game and a solid performance by Matt LoVecchio. Notre Dame rushes for 246 yards as Julius Jones and Tony Fisher combine for 142 yards and 2 TDs.

LoVecchio also adds 2 TD runs. The Trojans draw within 28-21 on Carson Palmer's 2nd TD pass, but Notre Dame answers with a FG and then a time-consuming drive capped by Jones' 2-yard TD run.
