#8 Sooners trump the #3 Wildcats 41-31.

Oklahoma jumps out in front big, and then holds off previously unbeaten Kansas State to continue the Sooners' climb up the rankings. Oklahoma starts fast, opening a 17-7 lead in the 1st quarter and going into halftime up 31-14.

Josh Heupel throws for 374 yards and 2 TDs, and runs for another. Heupel's 74-yard TD pass to Antwone Savage in 3rd quarter givings the Sooners a comfortable 38-14 lead. However, the Wildcats battle back, pulling within 38-31 on a return of a blocked punt by Terrence Newman. But, Oklahoma then answers with a time-consuming drive, resulting in a 24-yard FG by Tim Duncan and a 10-point lead.
