#18 Beavers rally by, then hold off the #24 Bruins for a 44-38 win.

Down 31-21, Oregon State scores 23 straight to overtake UCLA, and then is forced to make a late stand after UCLA scores with 1:18 left and then recovers an onside kick. The Bruins had a go-ahead TD on a fumble recovery in the end zone negated by an Oregon State penalty. Then backed up at the 3, facing 3rd-and-22, the Beavers convert and shortly after Patrick McCall breaks loose for a 66-yard TD and 44-31 lead with 1:52 left.

McCall rushes for 146 yards and Ken Simonton adds 100 yards while Jonathan Smith throws for 351 yards and 4 TDs. Cory Paus counters with 363 yards and 2 TD passes for the Bruins.
