Southern Cal smothers Penn State's offense and special teams in an easy win. Karma is a bitch for the Nittany Lions as Joe Paterno sticks by his thug QB, and sees his offense held to 142 total yards, while the Trojans score on returns of a blocked punt and interception.

Southern Cal takes a 6-0 lead before touching the ball on offense when Sandy Fletcher scoops up a blocked punt and returns it for a score. The Trojans stretch their lead to 23-3 at the half on the back of Petros Papadakis' 2-yard TD run and Troy Polamalu's 43-yard INT return. Sultan McCullough rushes for 128 yards to pace the USC offense.
