Nunes hits 20-of-29 for 279 yards and 2 TDs, including a 65-yarder to Tyree that gives the Orangemen a 10-9 lead in the 2nd quarter. James Mungro rushes for 101 yards and a TD.

The Panthers force a 17-17 tie when John Turman hits R.J. English for an 8-yard TD pass and then runs in a 2-point conversion with 1:17 left. Syracuse misses a change to win in regulation when Mike Shaffer misses wide right from 36 yards.
