A 49-yard pass from Woodrow Dantzler to Rod Gardner sets up Aaron Hunt's 25-yard FG with :04 left to win it for Clemson just moments after South Carolina had taken the lead. Thomas Hill falls on Edwin Watson's fumble in the end zone on 1st-and-goal at the 2 w/ :59 left to give the Gamecocks a 14-13 lead.

The Tigers had just stopped South Carolina on downs inside the 10 on the previous possession. Watson rushes for 150 yards, including a 61-yard TD run in the 1st quarter that ties it 7-7. Clemson gets a pair of FGs from Hunt to stretch the lead to 13-7.
