Stanford wins on Chris Lewis' 20-yard TD pass to Jamien McCullum on the final play. Lewis had entered after Randy Fasani was knocked out of the final drive.

The Cardinal rallied from a 30-20 deficit after losing a 14-0 lead. Kerry Carter rushes for 123 yards and 4 TDs, his final one, a 20-yarder in the 4th quarter cut Southern Cal's lead to 30-26 with just over 5 minutes left.
