Trojans stun the Bruins 38-35.

David Bell hits a 36-yard FG w/ :12 left, his 1st of the season after missing badly on a chip shot earlier, helping Southern Cal upset UCLA. The Bruins had just tied the game on Cory Paus' 1-yard TD run w/ 1:05 left following a Trojans' TD that gave them a 35-28 lead.

Carson Palmer hits 26-of-37 for 350 yards and 4 TDs to carry USC to the upset of its crosstown rival. Palmer's 57-yard TD pass to Steve Stevenson w/ 3:58 left broke a 28-28 tie. Palmer's 12-yard TD toss to Keary Colbert late in the 3rd quarter had forged the 28-28 tie.
