Badgers' backup plan tops the Spartans 17-10.

Wisconsin snaps its 3-game losing skid when backup Jim Sorgi hits Lee Evans for a 45-yard TD pass w/ :29 left in the game. Sorgi had come on to replace injured starter Brooks Bollinger earlier in the game.

The Badgers trailed Michigan State 10-0 after the 1st quarter, but drew even in the second quarter before Sorgi's last-minute heave broke up a scoreless 2nd half. Both teams struggled to find offense, with the Spartans hurting their chances with 3 INTs.
