Badgers overcome suspensions, Broncos for 19-7 win.

Wisconsin finds its legs well enough to subdue Western Michigan hours after 11 players are suspended for violating NCAA rules by taking benefits from a local shoe store. The Badgers are aided by getting points from their special teams and defense.

Josh Hunt's 89-yard punt return for a TD gives Wisconsin a 10-0 lead in the 1st half. However, the stubborn Broncos stay close until Michael Bennett's 8-yard TD run in the 4th quarter. Bennett, replacing record-setter Ron Dayne, rushes for a 128 yards to carry the Badgers.
