Game Notes

Hawkeyes get the last kick, beating the Red Raiders 19-16.

Nate Kaeding nails his 4th FG, a 47-yarder w/ :44 left, to lift Iowa after Texas Tech had tied the game on Robert Treece's 37-yard FG w/ 2:05 remaining. The Red Raiders aren't able to drive into range for a tying FG, with Bob Sanders picking off Kliff Kingsbury's desperation toss to the end zone on the final play.

Kaeding hits 4-of-5 FGs helping the Hawkeyes generate points in the absence of star back Ladell Betts, who is sideline with a muscle injury much of the game. Betts' replacement, Aaron Greving rushes for 115 yards and 1 TD.
