Bruins torch the Sun Devils in a 52-42 win.

UCLA gets a big day for backup QB Scott McEwan in his 1st start, as he throws for 280 yards and 3 TDs. McEwan hooks up with Craig Bragg for TDs of 62 and 39 yards. The 62-yarder comes as the Bruins open a 24-7 lead over Arizona State and are never challenged again.

Tom Pace rushes for 87 yards and 1 TD on 9 carries, and returns a kickoff 100 yards for a TD to give the Sun Devils a spark, but its not enough as the Bruins roll up 536 yards on offense. Akil Harris rushes for 138 yard and 1 TD, and Manuel White adds 85 yards and 2 TDs for UCLA.
