Chris Rix and Jovan Walker prove to be a lethal combination for Florida State. Walker catches 4 passes for a Gator Bowl-record 195 yards and 2 TDs. Walker sets up a FG with a 34-yard catch in the 4th quarter. Rix hits 12-of-25 for 325 yards and 2 TDs and scores another on a 1-yard sneak.

With Virginia Tech leading 17-13, Walker beats Roynell Whitaker and hauls in a 77-yard TD pass to give the Noles the lead. After extending the lead with a FG following another big connection, Rix hits Walker for a 23-yard TD pass to clinch the victory with 2:05 left.
