Georgia Tech becomes bowl eligible after overcoming rallies by Wake Forest. George Godsey throws for 267 yards and 3 TDs, hooking up with William Glover 8 times for 155 yards and 2 TDs of 65 and 47 yards.

The Jackets take a 24-6 lead on the 65-yard TD pass, but the Deacons respond with a 93-yard return for a TD by John Stone on the ensuing kickoff sparking a rally by Wake. Joe Burns rushes for 145 yards and 1 TD for Tech.
