Daniel Weaver's 42-yard FG w/ :07 left pulls out the victory for South Carolina after Ohio State erases a 28-0 deficit to tie the game. With the game appearing to be headed for overtime, Sheldon Brown picks off Steve Bellisari's deep pass and returns it 34 yards to set up the winning kick.

The Gamecocks appeared on their way to an easy win before the Buckeyes score on the final play of the 3rd quarter, starting their rally that culminates in Bellisari's 9-yard TD pass to Darnell Sanders w/ 1:54 to play.

South Carolina had taken control with a stout defense and 2 TD runs by Andrew Pinnock. Phil Petty throws for 227 yards and 2 TDs to lead the Gamecocks.
