Toledo erases a 23-0 lead and then rallies a 2nd time to end Marshall's 4-year reign atop the MAC. After Denario Marriott's 4th TD reception gives the Herd a 36-35 lead, the Rockets get a huge break following a fumbled punt near midfield, setting up Chester Taylor's 8-yard TD run for the go-ahead score w/ 6:34 to play.

Taylor rushes for 188 yards and 2 TDs, and a 3rd-down conversion to seal the victory. Byron Leftwich throws for 421 yards and 4 TDs, but Marshall lets its big lead slip away, with Toledo overtaking the Herd on kicker Todd France's 16-yard TD run on a fake FG attempt in the 3rd quarter.
