Maryland scores twice in the 4th quarter to seal a successful start to coach Ralph Friedgen's tenure. The Terps go ahead 9-7 in the 2nd quarter when Tyrone Stewart stops Willie Parker in the end zone for a safety.

Shaun Hill completes just 10 passes for 86 yards, but two completions go for TDs, including a 5-yarder to Scooter Monroe in the 4th quarter for a 16-7 lead. Marc Riley rushes for 116 yards and a 1-yard TD run w/ 6:35 left in the game to seal the Terps' win.
