Buckeyes burst #11 Wolverines' Big 10 title hopes with a 26-20 upset.

Ohio State jumps on Michigan, taking a 23-0 lead in the 1st half and then holds off a 2nd half rally by the Wolverines. Jonathan Wells rushes for 122 yards and 3 TDs in the 1st half, before departing early in the 2nd half with leg cramps.

Wells delivers the big blow when he breaks loose on a 4th-and-1 for a 46-yard TD and 14-0 lead. After his 3rd TD, a mishandled shotgun snap results in a safety and a dominating 23-0 lead. John Navarre leads a 2nd half rally, but for much of the game its his nightmare, committing 5 turnovers, and mishandling a snap on a FG that keeps Michigan from cutting the deficit to 23-10 in the 3rd quarter.
