#5 Ducks slip by the Beavers 17-14 in the Civil War.

Keenan Howry's 76-yard punt return for a score awakens Oregon in the 4th quarter, helping the Ducks escape an upset by Oregon State. Trailing 6-3 to the underdog Beavers, Oregon gets the spark by Howry and adds a scoring drive capped by Maurice Morris' 9-yard TD run to push in front 17-6 as the rains fall hard. Morris rushes for 102 yards.

However, Oregon State responds with 24-yard TD pass from Jonathan Smith to Josh Hawkins, followed by a 2-point conversion to draw within 17-14 w/ 2:05 left. The Beavers get a final chance in Oregon territory after Joey Harrington fumbles while trying to waste time, but Smith is picked off to seal the Ducks' win and Pac-10 championship.
