Trojans creep by the Beavers 16-13 in OT.

Carson Palmer scores on a 3-yard rollout in overtime to lift Southern Cal to the win after Oregon State settles for a FG on its possession. The Trojans hadn't creased the end zone since Steve Stevenson recovers a blocked punt in the end zone following the Beavers' 1st series.

Oregon State's defense limits Southern Cal all game long. However, the Beavers stumble on offense, missing a pair of FGs and turning it over twice to negate a 119-yard rushing game by Steven Jackson.
