Michigan State's trio of Jeff Smoker, T.J. Duckett and Charles Rogers tops Fresno State's duo of David Carr and Rodney Wright. Smoker throws for 376 yards and 3 TDs, including the clinching one, on a 5-yard toss to Ivory McCoy with 1:59 left after the Bulldogs had pulled within 37-35.

Duckett rushes for 184 yards and 2 TDs on 27 carries, while Rogers catches 10 passes for 270 yards and 2 TDs, of 72 and 69 yards. Carr completes 35-of-56 for 531 yards and 4 TDs, but also suffers 2 INTs, including the sealing one to end Fresno State's desperate last chance. Wright catches 13 passes for 299 yards and 2 TDs.
